Digital and Technology Solutions BSc

This degree covers a range of digital skills across several career pathways rather than being limited to one technical discipline. It includes data analytics, IT infrastructure, cyber security, and software development.

Programme structure

Aligned to an industry approved standard it focuses on building capability through:
  • BSc (Hons) Digital and Technology Solutions (BPP University)
  • Key cross-functional skills such as agile project management, presenting business cases, and identifying areas of opportunity and growth in IT solutions.
  • Leadership skills and the soft skills required to gain buy-in and engagement from other stakeholders in the organisation.
  • Execution of technical day-to-day activities in a digital related role and the requirements and commercial pressures on business.
  • In the final year of this degree, you have the option to specialise in one of four elective areas:
    • Data Analyst
    • Software Developer
    • IT Consultant
    • Cyber Security Specialist

Time commitment

You'll need time during working hours and must be confident you're able to allocate this within your workload. You'll receive a plan of your journey, it'll broadly consist of:
  • Fixed time of approx 4 hours per week
  • Flexible time of approx 2 hours per week

  • Workplace reflections
  • Assessments
  • Building portfolio

BPP support

  • Regular 1:1 coaching reviews
  • Industry experienced Tutors

Progression opportunities

After completion, you can: Apply to become a Professional Member of BCS, The Chartered Institute for IT. Consider progressing on to the MSc Applied Data Analytics Professional Career Development Programme.

Entry requirements

You must be working in a technology related job role. Grade 4 (C) or above in at least 5 GCSEs (or equivalent) including English and Mathematics You will also require one of the following;
  • 104 UCAS points
  • Have a recognized and equivalent qualification (examinations and experience will be considered)
  • Completion of a Level 3 apprenticeship/professional qualification in a relevant discipline.
